The Owls are a 4 piece rock n roll band who's sound rings out somewhere within a realm defined by the countrified rock of the Byrds and CCR, the melodic guitar tapestries of Television and the wide open range of Neil Young's Crazy Horse, as they bring to life the songs of singer/songwriter Sean McMahon.
"With a string of independent releases to his name and over a decade of non stop writing, recording and performing, Sean McMahon has honed an undeniably genuine voice as a singer/songwriter, His songs are laden with lyrical beauty, weaving vivid story telling, confessional narratives and abstract musings through timeless sounds inspired by classic vintage folk, rock and cosmic country,
After releasing two seminal albums as Downhills Home back in 2007 and 2009, all 4 members floated in and out of various lineups together and have now come full circle to play as the Owls. It feels, and sounds, like a natural thing. The Owls recently released two singles "Turn To You" and "Birds At Venus Bay", all available from Sean McMahon's band camp and streaming as the Owls

The only band to feature in Beat Magazine & Victoria Police lists simultaneously - your two favourite degenerates ECHO SOCIAL CLUB are hitting the road in support of their highly awaited debut EP 'White Heat - White Noise' produced by Michael Badger (King Gizzard, Amyl & the Sniffers, Full Flower Moon Band). Steeped in the classic two-piece formula, Echo Social Club continue to defy audiences' expectations on just how 'big and loud' two people can be. Following the lead singles 'My Brother Ego' and 'eCowboy', the duo further explore themes of hedonism, disillusionment and self-destruction all the while set to hooky riffs, cannon-fire drums and howling vocals.
